Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am pleased to offer this letter of recommendation in support of Dr. Ludwig Otto’s application for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.

I have known Dr. Otto for the last sixteen years as a colleague and a friend. I currently serve as an editor of the academic journals published by his publishing company, Franklin Publishing Company, and formerly served as a director and senior advisory director. As a long-serving professor of English, academic administrator and publisher, Dr. Otto is eminently qualified for the Fulbright Program and for the project that he chooses to undertake.

Graduate students and new faculty sometimes have difficulty publishing their first academic article. Dr. Otto’s project seeks to bridge that gap by providing guidance on different writing formats and the requirements to produce a publishable article, suitable for academic journals. In this regard, his project is timely, serves a clear need and will make a worthwhile impact on the academic careers of new faculty and graduate students alike.

Dr. Otto is an outstanding communicator who will serve as an excellent cultural ambassador for our country, to any country to which he is assigned. He adapts well and is sensitive to the norms of different cultures and has a true interest in the development of his colleagues of all cultures.

I am indeed pleased to provide this recommendation in support of Dr. Otto for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program. It is my belief that his abilities and motivation will ultimately lead to the success of his project and to his success as a Fulbright Scholar.

Sincerely,

Claude Superville
